Service Areas

Ai-TEC is based in Gauteng and dispatches field teams nationally. These service area pages reflect our main operating base and frequent call-out corridors.

Gauteng Base, National Reach

Our main operating base is in Jet Park, Boksburg, which keeps us close to industrial sites, warehousing, food plants and utilities in the east and north of Johannesburg. From there we cover regular call-out corridors into Kempton Park, Germiston, Pretoria, Midrand and Sandton, while also sending teams further afield when the work calls for it.

If you need boiler servicing before a planned shutdown, a calorifier check after poor hot water recovery, or fault finding on an inline heater during load-shedding, the nearest team is usually planned from this base. We work with commercial and industrial clients who need practical response times and clear communication, not guesswork.

How To Choose The Right Area Page

Start with the place where the plant sits, then think about access, urgency and the type of equipment on site. A factory in Boksburg with a high-pressure steam boiler is not the same as a hotel plant room in Pretoria or a process line in Midrand, so the right service area page should match the site conditions and the most likely support route.

  • Choose the closest area if you need a quick inspection, emergency callout or a same-day service visit.
  • Choose the area with the right equipment type if you need boiler servicing, calorifier maintenance or incinerator servicing.
  • Choose the main hub page if your sites sit in more than one town and you want one point of contact.

That makes it easier for our service coordinator to route the job, confirm access requirements and plan the correct technician mix. It also helps when municipal water quality, steam demand or flue conditions change from site to site.

Common Call-Out Corridors We Cover Often

Some routes come up again and again because they hold a lot of industrial and commercial plant. These are the areas where we most often schedule inspections, repairs and maintenance windows, especially when a client needs work done around production hours or after-hours shutdowns.

  • Boksburg and Jet Park industrial sites, including plant rooms, warehouses and distribution centres.
  • Kempton Park and the airport corridor, where access timing and security checks matter.
  • Germiston and surrounding manufacturing belts with older boiler rooms and mixed utility systems.
  • Pretoria and Midrand for offices, institutions, process plants and multi-site operations.
  • Sandton and nearby commercial properties where hot water reliability and compliance records are checked closely.

For sites near the coast or where borehole water is in use, we also pay close attention to corrosion, scale and refractory condition. That can change the service plan quite a bit, even when the equipment looks similar on paper.

What Our Teams Handle On Site

Our field teams work on the equipment that keeps plants running day to day. That includes routine servicing, fault finding, combustion tuning, refractory relining, annual inspections, water treatment support and plant refurbishment work where older equipment needs attention before it fails.

We also take on emergency callouts where a boiler trips, an inline heater stops holding temperature, or an incinerator is not drawing correctly. In winter, and during load-shedding, those issues can hit operations hard. A quick site visit can often prevent a longer outage, especially if the system has been running with hard water, poor feed quality or delayed maintenance.

Why Local Knowledge Matters

Service work is not just about getting to the site. It is about understanding the practical conditions around it. Access rules, municipal water quality, plant shutdown windows, power stability and even weather all affect the job. In Gauteng, a plant room can be dry one week and fighting dust the next, while on the coast humidity can show up as corrosion and control problems faster than expected.

That is why our teams work with the site manager, maintenance staff and operations teams before and during the visit. It keeps the job tight, avoids repeat breakdowns and helps us leave the system in better condition than we found it. A missed valve, a tired burner or a blocked line is small when caught early but costly if left too long.

Speak To The Right Team First Time

If you are not sure which service area fits your site, send the location, equipment type and fault description to our office and we will point you in the right direction. We can usually tell from a quick phone call whether the issue needs a service visit, a repair, a full inspection or a planned refurbishment scope.

Ai-TEC has been operating since 2009 and our support structure is built around practical site work, not sales talk. Whether you manage one boiler room or several plants across provinces, the aim is the same: keep heat plant safe, serviceable and ready for the next shift.

Main Areas And Corridors

Our service area pages cover the places we know best and visit most often. If your site sits in one of these locations, start there and we will guide the next step.

  • Boksburg Service
  • Kempton Park Service
  • Germiston Service
  • Pretoria Service
  • Midrand Service
  • Sandton Service

We also support surrounding industrial zones and travel nationally when a project or breakdown calls for it. For multi-site clients, one booking can be arranged across several towns, which saves time and keeps maintenance records in one place.

Questions we get asked

Do you only work in Gauteng?

Gauteng is our main operating base, but we dispatch field teams nationally when the site, equipment or shutdown window makes sense.

How do I know which service area to choose?

Choose the town where the plant sits, then match the page to the type of equipment and the urgency of the work. If you are unsure, send the site details and we will direct it.

Can you handle emergency callouts outside normal hours?

Yes. We support emergency callouts for boilers, calorifiers, inline heaters and incinerators where downtime cannot wait for the next business day.
